Visions in Vinyl:
Solo Show, 2022

In this series I explore the way that music makes me feel and, as a result, what it makes me see. While painting, sometimes I danced; sometimes I cried; sometimes I was silent and pensive whereas other times I was singing along. Sometimes I tore at the fabric and sometimes I carefully cut. Creating these paintings is a practice in being present, allowing me to focus on the process rather than the product - something that is a challenge for me. As I listen and actually notice how I respond physically to the music, I am able to explore where I am mentally. All of these responses manifest themselves in the lines, shapes and colors in the paintings.

To fully immerse yourself in the experience, the QR code on each painting links to the corresponding music.

Visions in Vinyl is my first solo show. The paintings span a variety of songs and playlist and showcase a year's-worth of work.
